About

I am a general surgeon working in Türkiye, with clinical and academic interests in minimally invasive surgery, colorectal surgery, abdominal wall surgery, endoscopy, and emergency general surgery.

My clinical work includes laparoscopic and open abdominal surgery, hernia surgery, colorectal procedures, and diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy. Alongside clinical practice, I am actively involved in clinical research, international collaborative studies, scientific writing, and surgical education.

Why I Write

Surgery is often described through procedures, techniques, and outcomes. But much of surgical practice lies in judgment: deciding when to operate, when not to operate, how to interpret uncertainty, and how to communicate those decisions with patients. I created this site to write about that side of medicine as well as the more practical questions patients and clinicians encounter every day.
